Terrific Twos {Children's Photography in Richmond, TX}

Emery came in to the studio this weekend for her 2 year portraits. She is your typical two year old. Full of energy, experimentation, and boundary testing...wait, that sounds a lot like me and I am almost 30.   I guess some of us never grow out of it.  lol  In any case, I love a child that keeps me on my toes and constantly creating new ways to capture attention.  Some of my favorite images are ones that show the true personality of my clients and I think these came out perfect.

While Em was changing, I got to flirt with her baby brother for a little while.  Isn't he sweet?
 Happy 2nd Birthday princess!  Hope to see you all soon.

A little slice of nature {Creative Child Photography in Katy, TX}

It was so refreshing and FUN to try out a new location this weekend!  The "W" children were just precious and dressed immaculately.  How cute is that little romper!?

It was so nice meeting all of you!  I hope to work with you again.

A little bit personal {Custom Children's Portraits in Richmond, TX}

All of my children have back to back birthday months.  They are February, March, and April.  I am running  behind on doing all their birthday sessions.  A common problem with me even though I am a photographer.  lol  Well I was able to carve out a bit of time today while the baby napped to do the first session for my oldest little girl, Lorelei who just turned 4.  She is full of personality and loves bright, frilly, girly things.  A girl after my own heart.  She really is my little mini-me.
 I love you sweet girl.  I hope you never lose that spunk of yours!

Sisters {Custom Child Photography in Katy, Texas}

You may recognize these precious little girls from the bluebonnet mini-sessions I recently did.   Meet Madelyn and Mikayla.  We got together today for Madelyn's 10 month portraits, but also scheduled time to photograph her older sister and the two of them together.   Little Madelyn was in a very serious mood today and Mikayla was her same silly self.

It was great seeing you all again so soon and I look forward to our next session!

Fix-It Friday #52

This morning I decided to have a little fun while I sipped my coffee, so I did a Fix-It Friday over at iheartfaces.com. What that means, is that every Friday there is a photo submitted that we get to open up in our photo editing software and "play" with it.   I love to edit photos whether they are mine or not.  If you have a photo that you love, but aren't quiet happy with the brightness, clarity, color, or whatever then contact me.  I love doing post processing and retouching!  Together we can make your photos fabulous.  :)

Here is the original photo:

Here are my three "fixes":

I used Photoshop CS4 to do my post processing.  Which do you like more?

The Last Bluebonnet Session of the season {Custom Bluebonnet Portraits in Fulshear, TX}

Meet Connor.  His mom won my last Facebook fan page giveaway just by becoming a fan!  I just had to post a close up of this little one's gorgeous baby blues.  Can you believe the length of those eye lashes?!  He is gonna drive all the girls crazy one day.
Thank you for becoming a fan of Chryshelle Spurgeon Photography!  It was so nice to meet your family.  I hope to continue working with you in the future.

Bluebonnets Part Deux {Custom Bluebonnet Portraits in Fulshear, TX}

Driving to the bluebonnet field last night I drove through patches of rain and drizzle, but kept up hope that it would be dry out in Fulshear where I was holding the sessions.  Unbelievably, the entire bluebonnet field was dry.  It was like there was a huge umbrella shielding the field.  Lucky us!

The first session I photographed was a gorgeous pair of kids!  The most beautiful eyes and curly hair you have ever seen.
Thank you "T" family!  I look forward to future sessions with your family.

Bluebonnet Preview #1 {Custom Bluebonnet Portraits in Fulshear, TX}

This is the first year that I have done mini-sessions in the bluebonnets.  It was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again next year!

My first session this evening was for an adorable pair of little girls.
 Then came along a pair of very well behaved and fun sisters.

More previews to come...

All Aboard {Custom Family Photography in Richmond, Texas}

I had a great time exploring a new place today with the "R" Family. I have seen the Old Katy train depot, but have never done a session there. The weather this morning was perfect for an outdoor session. Mom brought along an outfit from www.knottybabywear.com for the little guy. Don't you think the onesie and leg warmers are stinking cute? We did some shots of the family, the kids, and even Aunt "S" joined in the fun.
Thank you for choosing Chryshelle Spurgeon Photography!  I look forward to working with you again.

An adventure of our own {Custom Child Photography in Richmond, TX}

This morning I headed into historic Richmond for a session with a shy little girl named Chloe.  It took a little bit of work, but I was able to get her to relax in front of the camera.  Her personality shined through and we were able to get some fantastic images.

Thank you so much Jessica for trusting me to take your little one off on our own adventure during our session today!  I look forward to future sessions with Chloe and the rest of your family.

A name twin {San Antonio, Texas Custom Child Photography}

Meet Susan's daughter, Ember. She shares a name with my daughter and they are only two months apart in age. Funny thing is, both girl's dads (who have never met) got to do the naming this time.  Well, she recently turned one, learned how to walk, and no longer likes to sit still.  So, I set my camera speed really fast and danced like a monkey to keep her attention long enough to get some absolutely adorable shots.

See you again in the summer! I am sure you will have grown tons.

There's no place like home, except Nana's {San Antonio, Texas Custom Children's Photography}

Every once in a while I get a session booked by a grandparent.  This one happened to be particularly close to my  heart.  This session was for my mom... our Nana.  Between me and my sister we have five children and we have very few photos of all the kids together especially one that would be "wall worthy".  So, my mom scheduled a session with me to do a group session with the children to update her frame above the TV.  It was chaotic, to say the least.  Ha ha.

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek Nana!  I promise to have the whole session gallery up ASAP.  :)

 Thank you Mom for still paying me because you know it is my livelihood even though I am your daughter.  :)

Sunshine on a cloudy day {Richmond, Texas Custom Child Portraits}

Meet Zoë.  She is so spunky and reminds me a ton of my own daughter.  She was shy at first, but once we started playing she warmed right up to the camera.  She would only smile if I would spin her in circles between each portrait location.  Of course I went along with that deal.  I will do just about anything to get great shots and I love the fact that part of my job is to act silly!  Her smile brought sunshine to our cloudy afternoon session.

Thank you for choosing me to photograph Zoë's 4th birthday portraits.  I am looking forward to your family session in the Spring!
