Not too long ago I was a sponsor for Win-it-Week over at www.houstonmomslikeme.com and one lucky mom won a free session with me. If you are a mom in the Houston area you should check the site out. It is free and you have the opportunity to win a bunch of free stuff! Mrs. H was the lucky winner and we got together yesterday in the studio to shoot her session.
Congratulations! It was so nice to finally meet you in person.

Isn't she lovely? {Custom Newborn Photography in Houston, TX}
I have been waiting months to meet this little sweetheart! I photographed the family for a maternity session
back in March and have been eagerly awaiting her arrival ever since. Let me introduce to you Avery. Isn't she lovely? I LOVED that mom was all up for the "non-traditional" girl colors!
Congratulations! She is so darling. I enjoyed my evening with you last night and look forward to future sessions with your family.

The "in betweens" (Custom Family Photography in Katy, TX}
I headed out to Heritage Park to meet the "S" Family (minus dad). We did a few group shots as a father's day gift and then moved on to different arrangements and individuals of the kids. Some of my favorite shots are the "in between" shots. Those are the shots I sneak in between "posed" shots. Sometimes I may be testing lighting or I might just catch the subjects off guard. The middle shot is one of them. I love it!
I had a great morning with you all and am so excited to finally meet little Trevor. He is so handsome! Can't wait to see you again soon.

And the winner is.... {Creative Family Photography in Richmond, TX}
Meet the "M" Family! They are the lucky winners of my last Facebook Fanpage giveaway. I was fortunate enough to meet this family recently as Dad troops with my husband in the 501st Legion. They drove all the way from Baytown for our session. I am so glad they made the drive because we had a fantastic session. The weather was beautiful and the family is so much fun. I always enjoy having them around.
Thanks for making the drive all the way over to me for your session! Next time I will come to your neck of the woods. :)

As legend has it...{Custom Family Photography in Booth, TX}
This weekend I headed back out to Booth for a family session with the "S" family. The old schoolhouse has such a cool feel to it and thankfully the ants seemed to have mostly disappeared since my last visit. Dad kept making references to old stories about the schoolhouse to try and scare the girls and Mom would shush him before he could ever get the story out. The legends were completely made up on the spot of course. Very amusing.
Thank you "S" Family! I had a great time spending the morning with your beautiful family.

All Aboard {Custom Family Photography in Richmond, Texas}
I had a great time exploring a new place today with the "R" Family. I have seen the Old Katy train depot, but have never done a session there. The weather this morning was perfect for an outdoor session. Mom brought along an outfit from www.knottybabywear.com for the little guy. Don't you think the onesie and leg warmers are stinking cute? We did some shots of the family, the kids, and even Aunt "S" joined in the fun.
Thank you for choosing Chryshelle Spurgeon Photography! I look forward to working with you again.

My three sons {Custom Maternity Photography in Richmond, TX}
I had so much fun this evening with the "F" family. They are expecting their third boy! The older two boys are a riot and kept me moving. At every stop, they couldn't wait to move onto the next spot. They did the "typical" boy thing when I asked mom and dad to smooch. So funny!
We did a short session in downtown Richmond and then drove over to the place where Mr. & Mrs. "F" were married 15 years ago. It was a lovely property with a quaint house and a lake out back containing the biggest catfish you have ever seen. We hung out there playing, feeding the fish, and photographing in the sunset. It was a beautiful evening.
Thank you "F" family for choosing me to photograph your beautiful family. I can't wait to meet your baby boy!

A little bit country {Custom Family Photography in Booth, TX}
A few months ago, my friend and fellow photographer Nena Metcalf did our family portraits. This weekend I had the pleasure of returning the favor. We headed out to a tiny little town called Booth. It is sort of in the middle of nowhere and if you blink, you just might miss it. We had a fun time shooting at the old schoolhouse. Can you believe the place was built in 1912? Very cool!
I had a great time hanging out with you guys and look forward to future sessions!

A mother's treasure {San Antonio, Texas Custom Family Photography}
My first session in San Antonio was a super fun mother-daughter pair. Lindsay and Chloe were such a blast to photograph! When I asked Lindsay her portrait style, she said "anything FUN". Chloe was such a little model and not at all shy in front of the camera.
Thank you Lindsay for choosing me to photograph the special bond between you and Chloe! It was such a joy capturing the two of you interacting. I hope to see you again on the next visit to San Antonio.

Can you feel the love? {Cypress, Texas Custom Baby Photography}
I can honestly say this was one of my favorite sessions. Mom and Dad were so easy to work with and stayed so patient even through baby's fussy spells. Dad even got peed AND pooped on at different points during our session. He just smiled and said "wipe me down and lets keep going". Such a trooper! The images came out beautiful. You can definitely feel the love that the new baby has brought to this family.
Welcome to the world Coy! You are such a precious little boy.
