All Aboard {Custom Family Photography in Richmond, Texas}

I had a great time exploring a new place today with the "R" Family. I have seen the Old Katy train depot, but have never done a session there. The weather this morning was perfect for an outdoor session. Mom brought along an outfit from www.knottybabywear.com for the little guy. Don't you think the onesie and leg warmers are stinking cute? We did some shots of the family, the kids, and even Aunt "S" joined in the fun.
Thank you for choosing Chryshelle Spurgeon Photography!  I look forward to working with you again.

An adventure of our own {Custom Child Photography in Richmond, TX}

This morning I headed into historic Richmond for a session with a shy little girl named Chloe.  It took a little bit of work, but I was able to get her to relax in front of the camera.  Her personality shined through and we were able to get some fantastic images.

Thank you so much Jessica for trusting me to take your little one off on our own adventure during our session today!  I look forward to future sessions with Chloe and the rest of your family.

My three sons {Custom Maternity Photography in Richmond, TX}

I had so much fun this evening with the "F" family. They are expecting their third boy! The older two boys are a riot and kept me moving.  At every stop, they couldn't wait to move onto the next spot.  They did the "typical" boy thing when I asked mom and dad to smooch.  So funny!

We did a short session in downtown Richmond and then drove over to the place where Mr. & Mrs. "F" were married 15 years ago.  It was a lovely property with a quaint house and a lake out back containing the biggest catfish you have ever seen.  We hung out there playing, feeding the fish, and photographing in the sunset.  It was a beautiful evening.

Thank you "F" family for choosing me to photograph your beautiful family.  I can't wait to meet your baby boy!

A beautiful baby girl {Custom Newborn Photography in Richmond, TX}

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing another newborn.  I know I have said it before, but I LOVE newborns!  They are so sweet and tiny and pure.  I love everything about them.  Their teeny tiny parts, the way they grunt and coo, and even their adorable little lamb cries.  Meet Brooke.  She was a very good baby and slept soundly through the first half of our session until she got a bit hungry.  After some milk, and tinkling on the photographer's lap (yep, that would be mine) she drifted back off to sleep and we were able to get some more precious shots.

Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful baby girl.  I hope to capture her growth for years to come.

Love,
Chryshelle {Custom Newborn Photographer}

A little bit country {Custom Family Photography in Booth, TX}

A few months ago, my friend and fellow photographer Nena Metcalf did our family portraits.  This weekend I had the pleasure of returning the favor.  We headed out to a tiny little town called Booth.  It is sort of in the middle of nowhere and if you blink, you just might miss it.  We had a fun time shooting at the old schoolhouse.  Can you believe the place was built in 1912?  Very cool!

I had a great time hanging out with you guys and look forward to future sessions!

Fix-It Friday

Today I had a bit of time, so I did a Fix-It Friday just for fun over at iheartfaces.com. What that means, is that every Friday there is a photo submitted that we get to open up in our photo editing software and "play with".

Here is the original photo:

Here are my two "fixes":

I used Photoshop CS4 to do my post processing.  Which do you like more?

A Half-birthday {Custom Infant Portraits Richmond, Texas}

Today little Miss Paige came to the studio to get her 6 month portraits.  She was SO good and only started to fuss at the very end.  Loved all the outfits Mom brought along!  What is not to love about pink, frills, and bows?  I seriously could have squished this baby all day long.

Thank you for choosing me to photograph your sweet little girl.  Happy Half-birthday Paige!

Love,
Chryshelle {Custom Infant Photographer}
